Let me introduce myself!
My name is Ann Bernevega, and I’m 20 years old. I was born in Moscow, Russia, and at 16, I decided to move to Finland on my own to continue my education. In 2021, I started studying at Koulutuskeskus BRAHE, where I learned the basics of 2D/3D animation and game development. Now, in 2024, I’m studying game development with a focus on game programming at Kajaani University of Applied Sciences.
I have many hobbies that inspire me. I enjoy everything from gardening to making short films in video games. I’ve also tried lots of sports, including badminton, which I played professionally for over five years, as well as football, swimming, volleyball, basketball, and more. Nowadays my biggest hobby is photography/videography, and in 2024 I held my first photography exhibition called "INSIGNIFICANCE". Creating has always been my passion, whether it’s art, music, a plant I’ve grown, a video game, or a short film. I believe these varied interests help me see things from different perspectives.
I love languages and consider myself a polyglot. Russian is my native language, and English feels like my second native language since I use it every day. I’ve been learning Finnish for about four years and can now hold conversations, though I still have more to learn. I also studied French for a year and picked up some Ukrainian from my grandmother. Recently, I’ve started learning Swedish and Norwegian as well.
In the future, I want to live freely and be true to myself, doing what I love. I’ve always dreamed of traveling and exploring the world. I want to create art that I can share with others, hoping it helps them as it has helped me. My interest in game development began in my childhood when games gave me a sense of purpose during tough times. Through games, I made friends, socialized, and became more confident. I want to create games that make people feel deeply, helping and encouraging them just as games once did for me.
